DoctorCare’s 2025 Year in Review: A Year of Measurable Impact for Physicians

As 2025 comes to a close, we are reflecting on a year defined by growth, collaboration, and tangible results for the physicians and clinics we support across the province. From improving billing accuracy to strengthening roster stability and supporting practice transitions, our work this year focused on one goal: helping doctors run healthier, more sustainable practices.

Here’s a snapshot of what we accomplished together in 2025.

Driving Revenue Accuracy and Recovery

Billing accuracy remains one of the biggest challenges facing physicians, and this year, our teams worked tirelessly to reduce errors and recover revenue that might otherwise have been lost. In 2025, we recovered over $15 million through billing error reconciliation, including over 195,000 EH2 errors! Our Billing Care service automates billing submissions and error correction – right in your EMR.

These results demonstrate the effectiveness of proactive audits, thorough reconciliation, and strong collaboration with clinic teams.

Strengthening Patient Rosters

Accurate rosters are essential for practice stability, especially as payment models continue to evolve. In 2025, we supported clinics in strengthening patient attachment and improving roster integrity through our Patient Care service, resulting in rostering over 28,000 patients and recovering over $5 million in additional capitation.

By helping clinics maintain accurate rosters, we supported both continuity of care and predictable revenue.

Supporting Locums and After-Hours Care

Operational support extends beyond billing. This year, we helped clinics stay compliant and organized by managing key administrative workflows with our FHO group management services, including creating 350 after-hours schedules and registering over 180 locums with the Ministry of Health (MOH).

These efforts helped clinics meet contractual obligations while reducing administrative strain on physicians and staff.

Supporting Practice Transitions and Growth

Practice model transitions require careful planning and execution. In 2025, we worked closely with physicians navigating change. We helped form eight new FHO groups and transitioned over 100 doctors into a FHO group.

Each transition represented a significant milestone for physicians and clinics planning for long-term sustainability.

Looking Ahead to 2026

The healthcare landscape continues to change, and so do the needs of the physicians we support. With a new PSA bringing the FHO+ model and other changes, we’ll remain focused on proactive billing support, compliance, practice optimization, and helping doctors adapt with confidence to ensure a successful 2026.
